Made up of the collections of the Dukes of Savoy, which were started by Emmanuel Filibert, the core of the Museum of Antiquities has grown since then. Today it's divided in three Sections.
Historical collections, that include: the great Orpheo's mosaic, Greek and Roman sculptures, Greek ceramics, the prehistoric artefacts to Etruscan and Cypriot art.
Piedmontese archeology collection: more than 8000 objects, they are exhibited in a new pavilion to illustrate the territorial archeology that range from prehistory, to roman Age, to Middle Age.
A new Section is now being prepared to house Augusta Taurinorum - Turin archeology.
